Ashanti’s Text Stalker Convicted Of Harassment

An obsessed Ashanti fan has been found guilty of harassing the R&B star’s mother after bombarding her with a string of lewd text messages.

Devar Hurd was convicted of stalking and aggravated harassment at a New York court on Tuesday.

The wannabe rapper and model was arrested after sending a series of inappropriate messages to the Grammy winner’s mom, Tina Douglas, which included sexual and romantic scenarios, lifestyle and career advice for her famous daughter, and even pictures of male genitalia.

Hurd insisted the messages were just "banter," but was found guilty by the Manhattan jury and will be sentenced on January 11th.

He faces up to up to two years in prison.
