Erykah Badu Welcomes Third Child

Soul singer Erykah Badu and hip-hop star Jay Electronica are the proud parents of a new daughter.

The couple welcomed the child - their first together - into their family on February 1st. The rapper announced the happy news with an update on his online Twitter page, writing: "Feb 1 2009 my first child, my daughter was born at 1.30 pm exactly. It’s the happiest day of my life."

Badu - real name Erica Wright - is already mother to son Seven Sirius with Outkast rapper Andre 3000, and daughter Puma Rose with rapper The D.O.C.
