Rihanna has signed a management deal with her mentor’s imprint, parting ways with her long time manager Marc Jordan.
"[I’m] so excited to take this next step in my career," Rihanna tells the Associated Press in a statement Wednesday after coming together again with Jay-Z and Roc Nation.
On top of the new signing, Rihanna will branch out and launch her own company, dubbed Rihanna Entertainment, which will house all her properties, including music, film, fragrance, fashion and book ventures.
Jay-Z is credited for inking Rihanna to Def Jam in 2005. The two won a Grammy in 2008 for the hit song "Umbrella." Earlier this year, the pair picked up two Grammys for the rap song "Run This Town," which also featured Kanye West.
Rihanna is currently prepping the release of her fifth studio album, "Loud," which hits stores November 16.
